I received my BSED in secondary mathematics education from UGA in 1976. I then continued for another year and completed the program to get my MED in secondary mathematics education with certification in teaching gifted from UGA. I then taught in Savannah, Georgia, for 12 years. I taught at Savannah High School from 1977-1982. The next year I spent teaching at Effingham County High School. After that year I returned to Savannah to teach the next 7 years at HV Jenkins High School. In August 1989 I received my EDS in secondary mathematics education from Georgia Southern College.
In August 1990 I moved to Suwanee and began teaching at Brookwood High School. In 1994 I was among the pioneer faculty and staff of Collins Hill High School. I was there for the next 13 years full time and 3 more years part time. In the fall of 2010, I was fortunate enough to be offered a teaching position at Buford High School. It has been a wonderful experience.
I am married to Jeff Keber. I have two stepchildren, Drew and Vanessa. I am also the (step)grandmother of two wonderful children, Jonathan and Zoey.
